This software allows you to manage all of your time tracking functions through one all-inclusive application.
The DOVICO Planning & Timesheet interface is a little overwhelming. This application requires some training, and we recommend using their online demo to understand how much you can do with it. Plus, if you're using a Mac, you may encounter some compatibility issues. Nonetheless, this is one of the best project management options available, and it is the winner of our TopTenREVIEWS Bronze Award.
DOVICO Planning & Timesheet will track all your employees including their sick time, vacation time and more. This software has almost all of the features that we looked for in time tracking and management software. With this product, you can also setup rules and regulations to customize any overtime your employees might accrue.
This web-based software will also monitor your projects and jobs – including all of your expenses, as well as your clients or customers and their contact information. DOVICO uses a Gantt chart (a type of bar chart) to display this information. This makes it easy to see who is working on what project, how much of the project has been completed and if there are any overlapping time conflicts. The application features a simple drag-and-drop system when you want to add employees to projects or adjust timelines. While DOVICO does a great job of tracking hours and monitoring projects, it doesn't seem to have a specific function for tracking other activities, such as training, meetings and presentations.
DOVICO Planning & Timesheet provides a wide variety of reporting options. This project management software has a report for almost every occasion. It also provides a healthy amount of statistics. You can get stats about clients, employees, expenses, projects, tasks, time, attendance and more. DOVICO also gives a visual representation of your original estimated budget and your actual expenditures. And since this application is web-based, you can access DOVICO time tracking software from any computer with an internet connection.
DOVICO Planning & Timesheet offers a wide variety of practical features. These additional features allow you to create secure passwords, manage contacts and archive entries. You can also import and export data easily using an Excel spreadsheet. DOVICO's Heat Map will allow you to see, at a glance, which employees are overloaded and which ones have room for additional projects. They also have a Leveling option, which will automatically distribute projects and tasks based on the availability of the employees in the system.
You can also add notes to any project or employee timesheet with the click of a button. If you have international employees or clients, DOVICO allows you to switch between multiple currencies and adjust hourly employee rates. You can also differentiate between billable and non-billable hours and create invoices based on those hours.
This is a very useful application for time management, once you learn how to use it. DOVICO Planning & Timesheet isn't something that you can just jump into without any training. It has many different features, and the interface can feel cluttered and intimidating. You may feel lost at first, but after taking a quick tour of the application and viewing a demo, you'll get the hang of it.
DOVICO organizes all of its features into five different sections: My Time & Expenses, Project Planning, Approval Workspace, Employees & Projects and Reports Explorer. Each module is clearly marked on the top navigation bar for quick access. Once inside these sections, there are additional subheadings for additional control. As previously mentioned, it's a lot to take in at first, but soon you'll be able to navigate with ease.
Finally, if you're using a Mac operating system, DOVICO will have some functional limitations. For example, you won't be able to use the offline timesheet function and the import/export tool will not work. If your company primarily uses the Mac OS, we recommend using another one of the products we reviewed.
DOVICO's website had everything we looked for in regard to Help & Support. They have a number of informative and helpful web pages, all dedicated to educating you on how to best use this application. They also offer customer support via email, phone and live chat.
DOVICO Planning & Timesheet is a powerful and flexible application. You can either install this time tracking software on your computer or use the online version. Either way, you will have access to a variety of tools to help you manage your business effectively and make sure your company meets its deadlines.
